The Spellbound Rose Witch Hats

Where old-world architecture meets the romance and mystery of Halloween, these extraordinary witch hat sculptures were created to feel as though they were discovered in an old European estate—beautifully aged, wonderfully imperfect, and unlike anything traditionally associated with seasonal décor.

Each oversized witch hat has been individually sculpted and hand-finished in layers of warm ivory, antique champagne, aged gold, and deep charcoal detailing. Dimensional roses cascade across the hats, creating an almost couture-like floral composition, while delicate vintage-inspired chains, beads, charms, and jewelry are draped organically from the brims.

But what truly sets these pieces apart are their bases. Rather than traditional stands, each hat has been permanently paired with a one-of-a-kind architectural wood fragment, giving the sculpture the presence of an antique architectural object. The carved details, distressed finishes, cracks, age marks, and irregularities of the wood were intentionally preserved and incorporated into the finished design.

The result is a piece that feels less like Halloween décor and more like collectible seasonal art.

The two sculptures coordinate beautifully while remaining completely individual. Each piece features an oversized hand-sculpted witch hat, dimensional floral embellishments, layered hand-painted and distressed finishes, antique-inspired metallic detailing, draped chains and jewelry elements, and a reclaimed architectural wood pedestal selected specifically for that individual hat.

The finish has been intentionally layered, distressed, rubbed, and aged to create the depth and patina associated with Michelle Butler Designs. Visible brushwork, textural variation, cracks, irregular edges, aged areas, and variations in the architectural elements are intentional parts of the artwork rather than imperfections.

One of a Kind

Every Michelle Butler Designs piece is created individually by hand using a combination of found objects, vintage-inspired jewelry, architectural fragments, sculptural elements, and hand-applied finishes. No two can ever be recreated exactly.

Because the architectural bases themselves are individually sourced, each sculpture has its own history, shape, carving, distressing, and natural imperfections. The jewelry and floral compositions are also individually arranged by hand.

These are not mass-produced seasonal decorations—they are one-of-a-kind works of decorative art designed to be collected, displayed, and brought out year after year.
